Needle (2010) In France, it was presented as ‘The Curse’! Despite everything I didn’t like or dislike about this film, it remains a good film in my eyes. It’s very gory. Australians are very keen on that, apparently, in this kind of film.
Having said that, one of the positive points is that there aren’t really any jump scares, even at the very end! And that’s great, because I think it’s important to break certain rules sometimes, if not often.
Needle resembles quite a few films, but I’ll just mention “Wish Upon” and “Final Destination” here. The music is pretty good. A must-see for horror fans, but sensitive souls should largely abstain. Well… I say that, but the reviews have been pretty negative. I’ve mostly read “Ugh, this film is bad! Very bad indeed! A film for teenagers with no appeal”, but to each his own.
Those for whom violent films aren’t violent… well… there’s not much we can do for them! PS: Immensely pleased to see Jane Badler in a small role. This actress made a name for herself thanks to her role in the series V in the 80s. She was never successful again after that.
Despite her other series, films and even two music albums. It’s a shame, because she’s got real talent and charisma. Spoiler Alert: here, the criminal uses voodoo to exterminate his victims slasher-style.
