How lame is that! How bad!!!

As soon as I read “four deadly tales of four female directors,” I should have run.

And yet, I try not to be sexist. But I see that my instincts were right. 

Why absolutely want to highlight women here? 

To not make ten stories, 5 done by men or at least 3 or 4? 

“XX” is a new horror anthology with a gender twist – all segments will be directed by female directors and feature women. The female directors have been given creative freedom within the budget and time constraints, but all the segments themselves will appeal to the horror genre.”

Despite the good actors, such as Melanie Lynskey, this film totally falls flat as far as I’m concerned. 

All of the stories have a great beginning, a gripping story, but every time the endings completely suck.

So, yes, it ruins EVERYTHING!

I even think that if these directors had had more budgets, it would still have been as bad. 

Because if the ideas are sloppy, why would money make better works? 

We know very well that the best ones, even with little money, manage to make incredible things.

Just look at Spielberg’s “Duel”. No, really!

This anthology probably wants to resemble masterpieces like Creepshow, but it doesn’t come close. 

If it’s ideas just to have ideas…. With not even an explanation for what’s in the box!

Besides, the butchery side is just there to shock and impress with special effects. 

I think that these directors have not understood anything about the real art of cinema.
